- I come from Douglas in County Cork Ireland. I have been in Australia for 30 years. It's hard to believe that it's been that long! When I came to Australia in 1978, I lived in Melbourne for 6 years.Then in 1985 I moved to Sydney with my family and I've been here ever since.My family and I have made our home in Caringbah which is in Sydney's south. I love my job teaching ESOL! I learn so much from all the students and I especially like the AMEP and all the people I come in contact with through the program.
